RadEye PRD-ER4 Personal Radiation Detector

Dual-purpose search and safety instrument with extended dose rate range, for fire services, hazmat teams and other first responders who may work in high dose rate environments.

The PRD-ER4 is intended for screening and personal safety monitoring by first responders who may need to work above the low dose rate range. The high dose rate range meets the requirements of IEC 60846-1 (2009) and ANSI N42.33-2006. It does not include isotope identification – for that, see the RadEye SPRD-ER.

  • Two detectors: CsI(Tl) for low dose rates and a high dose rate detector up to 10 Sv/h
  • NBR distinguishes artificial radiation from natural background and reduces false alarms by 80 % without increasing alarm thresholds, according to the manufacturer
  • Neutron indication via prompt gamma analysis
  • Sourceless gain stabilisation and licence-free lutetium test adapter for checks in the field
  • Optional Bluetooth with iOS and Android app, RadResponder compliant
