The FH 40 G measures gamma and X-ray dose rate with its internal detector, and accepts one external plug-and-play probe, which the meter recognises automatically, for measuring neutrons, alpha and beta contamination or artificial gamma radiation in a variable natural background. Internal and external detectors have separate alarms and are monitored simultaneously. The meter is waterproof to IP 67, and the -10 versions are calibrated for ambient dose equivalent H*(10).
