SAM12 Small Articles Monitor
Monitor for contamination checks of small articles and tools, with 4 or 6 detectors and one or two doors.
The SAM12 is available with 4 or 6 detectors and one or two doors, and as an electronics upgrade for older SAM11 monitors. Typical applications include clean tool shops, containment exits, active barriers at the RCA boundary and free release surveys during dismantling.
- Measures fixed, smearable, internal and external gamma contamination simultaneously
- Natural Background Reduction (NBR) discriminates between NORM and man-made radiation
- Cobalt Coincidence Monitoring (CCM), insensitive to fluctuating gamma background
- No cooling fan and completely self contained: no peripherals needed to set up or configure
- Integral 12 V power pack gives 8 hours of operation if AC supplies are lost
