RadTag RTG25 / RTX25 Blood Irradiation Indicator
Colour indicator that verifies blood products have been irradiated within 25–50 Gy, as required by EU, UK and Australia guidelines. Available for gamma (RTG25) and X-ray (RTX25) irradiation.
EU, UK and Australia guidelines require blood to be irradiated at no less than 25 Gy and no more than 50 Gy, while USA and Canada guidelines require no less than 15 Gy and no more than 50 Gy. For the latter range, see RTG15 / RTX15.
- Shows whether blood products were under-irradiated, within the recommended dose range or over-irradiated – not just yes or no
- Read visually against minimum and maximum reference colours
