Gammacell 1000 Elite / 3000 Elan Blood Irradiator
Caesium-137 blood irradiators with fixed sources and a turning canister, delivering high dose uniformity for hospitals, clinics and blood centres.
A complete documentation package, including a unit specific dose map and a measurement certificate of activity with central dose rate, accompanies every unit. Customers need to obtain a radioactive materials possession licence before the Gammacell can be shipped, and Best Theratronics helps prepare the licence submission documents.
- In the event of a power failure, the battery back-up completes the cycle underway and can then power approximately 20 additional cycles
- Barcode reader scans ISBT-128, ABC Codabar and other blood labelling to record the unit number, product code, blood type and more
- Ethernet (web browser) access and LIMS interface for digital traceability of irradiated product data
- Bypass mode allows operation of the unit without the main control system
- Programming function protected by passwords and key lock
