ASM-IV Automatic Scrap Monitoring System

Automatic portal monitoring system that checks vehicles carrying scrap and metal on the way in and out, for scrap processing, mills and foundries.

The ASM-IV is an automatic monitoring system for scrap processing, mills and foundries, where vehicles carrying material are checked on the way in and out. Two sets of proximity sensors are included, and the System Control Unit shows abbreviated results from the 10 most recent scans in a colour-coded history banner.

  • Configurable platform that prevents radioactive materials from entering scrap metal and metal processing workflows
  • Multiple smaller, independent detector zones improve signal-to-noise and give vertical resolution to pinpoint the source
  • Dynamic Background Suppression and vehicle profiling algorithm
  • Remote monitoring of system health, daily scan event tracking and monthly reporting
  • Current ASM II/III/SE users can upgrade with available kits
