AS 4000/4500 Aerosol & Iodine Sampler
Aerosol and iodine sampler for continuous, isokinetic sampling from ventilation ducts and stacks at nuclear facilities.
The AS4500 is connected to a ventilation duct or stack for continuous sampling of air that may contain radioactive aerosols and iodine, for delayed laboratory measurement. The AS4000 is the version without air flow matching. The technical data above refer to the AS4500.
The sampling head has an anodised aluminium body, a honeycomb-shaped filter holder with clamping ring and a stainless steel quick connector. The tubular aluminium chassis has two handles for transport.
- The AS4500 adjusts the sampling air flow to match the measured flow in the ventilation duct or stack
- Mass flow meter with regulated and standardised air flow, verified against COFRAC certified standards
- Continuous measurement of the pressure loss of the paper filter and cartridges
- Remote reporting of operating status via T.O.R output
- Electrical box with differential circuit breaker, locked with key
