Harshaw TLD Readers, Cards and Materials
Thermoluminescent dosimetry (TLD): readers, dosimeter cards and TLD materials for passive dosimetry in radiation protection monitoring.
The Harshaw readers are used worldwide in IEC, NVLAP, DOELAP and ANSI accredited facilities. They are complemented by multi-element TLD cards with Teflon capsulated TL material mounted in an aluminium card, tamper-resistant holders with optimised filtration for energy discrimination, and sealed disposable or sterilisable extremity dosimeters such as finger rings and wrist bands.
- Harshaw 3500: manual reader for unmounted TLD elements in many formats: ribbons, chips, rods, micro cubes and powder
- Harshaw 6600 Plus: automatic card reader for up to 200 TLD cards per processing run, for whole body, extremity, environmental and neutron dosimetry
- The glow curve provides verification of read quality and helps determine the validity of readings from faulty or damaged dosimeters
- TLD materials with a linear useful range from 1 µGy to 20 Gy; lithium fluoride based materials are near tissue equivalent and not light sensitive
- TLD cards for the 6600 Plus are guaranteed up to 500 reads
